For those who thought that I had died, sorry to disappoint you.
Today we went to East Coast for In-service. Things didn't go as well as expected initially, for our trip was delayed by around an hour as Wainam needed to clear some doc with DMP and DMP was 'too busy'. Then we had our lunch at Lagoon hawker and I ordered this laksa which tasted marvellous. After the laksa, also ordered chendol and the uncle was damn generous to throw in lotsa coconut milk, red beans and the green jelly thingy. So lunch was hearty.
After lunch, we wasted some time securing a more conducive pavillion for our unit's discussion session. Even so, we were disrupted once by a foul smell that came out of nowhere and another once by the grass-cutting car. The discussion was f*cking boring as it did not require NSFs' input and it did not really involved us. I'm involved more actively amongst the NS cos I was arrowed the secretary post. Also didn't know what to say when was asked for my opinion so had to echo some of the points discussed previously to make myself look smart. Lame. Was quite distracted when army ppl began to run along the jogging path as I tried to look out for LM.
Then we ended our day with rollerblading. Coincidentally saw LM at the blade rental shop. And wah, blading was so fun. I started noobishly as I had not skated since Sec 3 or so and I almost couldn't make my way out of the shop. Told Vin that I knew how to skate a bit before the In-service, so I was damn frightened when I can't even stand and balance myself at the shop. Luckily, managed to get back my tiny bit of touch and began to skate more smoothly after a while. If not, would be labelled as toa kang forever. However, I'm still afraid of kicking with my right leg. Maybe will buy a pair of blades to practise more.
Erm, then missed the timing and we could not make it back for aikido lesson. But managed to get my new thick judo-line gi. So exciting! But it only looks thick and in fact, its only thicker than my nua gi by a bit. So sad. Shall see whether it feels comfortable or not, to decide whether I'll buy another thick one and chuck my nua one aside forever.
